As someone who's been blogging since 2016, I really resonated with your article. It takes a lot of time and I would, like you, dissuade anyone who doesn't want to do anything other than write. Especially with new updates for site/cookie tracking, ADA compliance crackdown, and all the tools needed today. I like your point on reading others' work - that's a huge pro of writing on different platforms versus in a self-hosted "vacuum".
