In a pandemic-stricken world, the concept of responding to a question about one's five year plans seems nonsensical. You make a strong point that while you can project for the future, the only vital information is what's happening now. Being present in the now is the antidote to so many future anxieties and past ruminations. I agree, you can only be one person in one place - now. I think back to my five-year plan in high school. I have to laugh now, because they didn't pan out in any shape or form that I could have anticipated. I stubbornly strived for a future that wasn't right for me, but was the right answer for others.
