This is how I feel about my degree and the five years I spent in college. I changed degrees a couple of times. I ended up graduating with a degree in dietetics, and now I work with startups. I was in the same boat as you with dreading a 9-5 job. Working in startups has helped for me because I can leverage my entrepreneurial spirit, be a generalist (learn a variety of skills) and write a lot. I finally reached the same conclusion you spoke to here, and it was only after I was down on myself for a year or so because I felt like I stressed myself out to follow a certain career trajectory for nothing. I look back with a very different mindset now. You're way ahead of the game with coming to the realization that college has given you value way beyond a degree and expected career pathway. Good luck in reaching your own "destination"!
